Annual Improvement Cycle and Agenda No. 1

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, launched the No. 1 agenda of the Government Services Improvement Cycle in 2013, which focuses on priority government services, determined based on multiple strategic criteria. The latter includes reaching a large number of customers; prioritizing services of relatively high cost; improving services that would impact the realization of the entity’s strategic objectives; and maintaining the Emirate’s leading position internationally across various fields.

The annual improvement cycle is based on vital principles, which includes innovation to achieve the desired results across government services; the development and implementation of pioneering initiatives; prioritizing rational spending on government services; customer participation to support designing and evaluating the service; and collaboration across various parties within the government and other entities.

The Dubai Model Centre plays a pivotal role in supporting the efforts of government entities during the improvement cycle by supporting the innovation teams in various government entities responsible for improving services using the Dubai Government Methodology for Service Improvement and conducting the necessary training courses on the Dubai Government Methodology for Service Improvement methodology to improve the services and tools used.
