His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, stressed the importance of consolidating and laying the foundations for innovation, excellence and smart transformation within the government work system, in an effort to raise government services to unprecedented levels that translate the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in raising the quality of life and making Dubai the best, smartest and happiest city in the world.
His Highness praised the pioneering and creative government initiatives that reflect the pioneering level reached by the Dubai government in achieving customer satisfaction and enhancing the welfare of society as a top priority in the UAE. As the government entity that won the best government initiative within the program for the instant license initiative, during the "Hamdan Forum 2019" ceremony organized by the "Dubai Model Center" of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council today.
His Highness expressed his happiness that government agencies have entered a new era of excellence and leadership, with the application of creative ideas and innovative technologies that support the process of making and foreseeing the future that the wise leadership aspires to, stressing that the process is continuing to enhance government work capabilities, to provide distinguished services that exceed the expectations of customers. His Highness added: We stress the need to support young people's ideas as they are the cornerstone for shaping the future, and we renew our commitment to continue supporting, developing and harnessing young energies in designing government services. We are pleased with the youth ideas that were presented at the Young City Builders Championship.

The Instant License initiative was chosen as the best government initiative, based on the results of the customers' vote and the evaluation of the Customer Meeting Committee and an international expert committee, after a strong competition between 9 initiatives submitted by 8 government agencies. The initiatives nominated for the current session included “Cybercrime” from the “Dubai Police General Headquarters”, the “Nol Plus” and “Tuk Taxi” initiatives from the Roads and Transport Authority, “Visual Communication” from “Dubai Courts” and the “Response” initiative. Smart (Water) from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Owner System from Dubai Land Department, Individual Licensing System from Dubai Health Authority, Instant License from Dubai Economy, and Coordinator from Dubai Customs.
